PT Aneka Tambang (Antam) once again received a recommendation for extending the export of low grade mineral minerals until 2019.
Antam's pocketed recommendations include the export of low grade nickel ore (<1.7% Ni) of 2.7 million wet metric tons (Wmt) and washed bauxite ore with ≥42% Al2O3 of 840 thousand Wmt.
Earlier in 2017, Antam had received a recommendation of low grade nickel ore exports totaling 3.9 million Wmt of 2.7 million Wmt obtained in March 2017 and 1.2 million Wmt acquired in October 2017. While export recommendations washed bauxite ore obtained in the period of March 2017.
A series of recommendations was obtained, as Antam meets the criteria in the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Regulation no. 5 Year 2017 on Increasing Mineral Added Value through Processing and Purification Activities in the Interior.

Antam's current key project, including the Halon Feronickel Plant Development Project (P3FH), is on track with a construction realization of 38vpersen up to the end of 2017. It is planned that the Feronikel Haltim (Line 1) plant has a production capacity of 13,500 tonnes of nickel in ferronickel (TNi) plant construction is planned to be completed by the end of 2018.
In terms of bauxite development, Antam is currently focusing on the construction of the Smelter Grade Alumina Refinery (SGAR) plant in Mempawah, West Kalimantan in cooperation with PT INALUM (Persero), which has a processing capacity of 1 million tons of SGA per year.
